The 2016 Swim the Solent event, organised by Tony Bray, brought together dedicated swimmers in support of the Ian Pratt MND Foundation, raising vital funds and awareness for Motor Neurone Disease (MND).
The 2017 Swim the Solent challenge marked another inspiring year for the Ian Pratt MND Foundation (IPMNDF), with dedicated swimmers taking on the Solent’s waters to raise awareness and funds for Motor Neurone Disease (MND) research. Organised by Tony Bray, the event continued to build on its legacy, bringing together individuals committed to honouring Ian Pratt’s vision of advocacy and support.
Ahead of the main swim, participants completed qualifying test swims, ensuring they were prepared for the demanding conditions. The event was more than a physical challenge—it was a powerful demonstration of resilience, solidarity, and hope in the fight against MND.
